Quick Troubleshooting

Don’t let technical glitches stop your production. Here are the fastest solutions to the most common EOS-MovRec 2026 errors.

“Connected” but Black Screen?

Usually caused by the Mirror Lock-up setting in your camera menu. Disable it, ensure you are in Manual (M) mode, and make sure the lens cap is off. Also, verify EdsImage.dll is in your app folder.

Software says “Busy” or won’t start?

Windows 11 Photos app or EOS Utility might be “hijacking” the camera. Close all other photo-related apps and re-plugin the USB. Check Device Manager for conflicts.

Stuttering or Low Frame Rate?

Avoid USB 3.0 blue ports if possible; legacy DIGIC III/IV sensors prefer USB 2.0 High Speed ports. Disable “Battery Saver” mode on your laptop to prevent CPU throttling.

Virtual Cam not showing in OBS?

You must click “Write to Virtual Cam” within EOS-MovRec *before* opening your streaming app. Ensure you’ve installed the OBS VirtualCam plugin (v2.0.4+).
